A Portuguese restaurant for the executive? Yes. Tavira is tucked in the basement of a high rise office building in Chevy Chase, Maryland. You would not think this is the type of restaurant for an executive dinner, but it is. The service is old world and very good. The wine list is very reasonable and right on point for the food. The best aspect of this restaurant is the seating. As an executive you can get a table away from busy tables in the restaurant in order to carry on a business conversation. The food is prepared and presented on the higher end side. The only challenge to the restaurant is that their list of Ports happens to be very small. Not what you would expect from a Portuguese restaurant.
